How dangerous is using public transportation in Jakarta

A man was struck and killed instantly by an electric train after falling from the train's roof, this morning in Jatinegara, East Jakarta. The man, who was wearing a white and purple striped, long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans and no shoes, was identified as Haryadi, 32, a resident of Pondok Kopi, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, kompas.com reported. He allegedly slipped from the roof of the train, which was operating along the Bekasi - Jakarta Kota route. His body was taken to the Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital in Central Jakarta for an autopsy. The victim's family said that Haryadi was unemployed having being laid off from his previous job at a plastics factory in Tangerang five months ago.
How dangerous is using public transportation in Jakarta. Trains are not able to accommodate passenger growth. City bus for example Transjakarta and Angkot is fulfilled by robbery or pick-pocket. We should anticipate all of this by going to office early, praying before to do something and always careful in everywhere.
